Me working on my Tarot Moon card
Me working on my Tarot Moon card

For followers of my art, I will now title my blog posts with either Art: followed by blog post title or Tarot: followed by blog post title.

This is so that people only interested in the art side of things can just view the relevant posts.

I will be spending a lot of this year painting my Tarot cards but plan on doing other painting in between and I want to do a post here for each completed painting so look out for that.

For those of you that don't know, I decided to bring my other love, The Tarot, back into my life and create my own tarot deck.

Apart from art, spending time with the cards was the other thing that brought and still brings me solace and a sense of joy and fulfilment.

Bringing these two loves together suddenly made sense to me and It's the most creatively excited I've been since I first started my Strange and Sometimes Troubled Memories series.

Since unfortunately the documentary didn't make it into any of the many film festivals it was entered into, and also just the sense that it seemed like a project based on my whole life up until this point had come to a close, I needed a new direction which had as much depth and involvement to keep me creatively buzzing.

As well as painting my tarot deck, I have brought the practise of Tarot back into my life and at the moment, I didn't want to create a whole new website (and also cost was a factor).

So that is why blog post's for Tarot will also appear. For anyone browsing my blog, I have put them into categories also.

I have given my website a new look, I hope you like it, let me know what you think. On the home page you now have the option to go to Art or Tarot, if the tarot side of things doesn't interest you, once you enter the art, it's just as my old website was, so won't affect you.

Also just a note that most of my art blog posts were about my SASTM paintings and the rewrites of them are still in the process of being done and will eventually be turned into a book alongside images of the paintings.

As well as that though, I plan to start doing other interesting art posts, we'll see how that goes, ha!

One thing I've realised is, while I'm blessed with an abundance of artistic inspiration and genius (heh), I must have missed the day where they gave out talent in organisation, planning and business skills (not to mention basic human functioning skills).

It is my goal, alongside my creative goals, to this year be more organised in how I get my work 'out there'.

We'll also see how that goes.

I hope you are all doing well and your year is getting off to a good start.

Thanks for reading.
